Third International Symposium on
Judicial Decision Support Systems
May 25-26, 2001
Chicago-Kent College of Law
Chicago, IL USA
As we begin a new century, electronic systems to support decision-making
are increasingly envisaged by officials, scholars, lawyers and judges
themselves as integral to the armoury of the modern judge. Yet, how
such judicial systems are designed, implemented and used remains relatively
unexplored. Indeed how do these questions connect with visions of justice?
Building on the momentum from previous symposia in Melbourne (1997)
and Oslo (1999), this third International Symposium aims to bring
together practitioners, officials and academics with the aim of improving
the understanding and development of judicial decision support systems.
Papers or other forms of participation are invited from academic researchers
from a range of disciplines, lawyers, judges, and policy officials.
